KAMAL BELL, SANKOFA FARMS

Sankofa Farms LLC is a multifaceted agricultural entity working to create a sustainable food source in both rural and urban areas located in Durham and Orange County, North Carolina. Kamal led us on a farm tour and in discussion on what it means to farm and feed folks sustainably.

Cristina and Santos both played important planning roles for our NC visit and led us in conversation and connection at Earthseed and Tierra Negra Farm. Earthseed Land Collective’s mission is to remember and reimagine our relationship to ourselves, each other and the land in pursuit and practice of collective liberation.
